DAZ 3D is known by 3D artists for its excellent human figures, is enough to mention, for example, Victoria 4 or Michael 4.
These figures are exploited by users in other softwares, including principally Poser.
With the release of version 4 of its DAZ Studio, DAZ 3D introduced a new innovative 3D human figure, called Genesis.
The problem stems from the fact that Genesis can only be used in DAZ Studio 4, which has raised a lot of the discontent from the Poser users.
Fortunately at the end DAZ 3D (DAZ Studio developers and creators of Genesis) and Smith Micro (Poser developers) have decided to work together to create a plugin for Poser, called DSON Importer for Poser, enabling the loading and use of models and figures created for the Genesis platform in Poser.
Note
DSON (DAZ Scene Object Notation) is a new file format definition (introduced in DAZ Studio 4.5) from DAZ 3D designed to enable scene and content compatibility between 3D software applications.
The DSON Importer for Poser was initially released for free, while now it comes to cost $24.95, but you can still have it for free with $20 purchase of DSON Products.
