On 3DDSA released some MetaData

In the 3DDSA freebies section were added some metadata, for products that were issued prior to the release of DAZ Studio 4.

What are metadata?

Practically are information about the files that you have installed in your My Library folder.

Using thel Content Management System (CMS) you can assign this information (the metadata) to each file, allowing you to speed up your workflow in the creation of scenes, because  they help the user to easily find material, poses and accessories.

DAZ Studio 4 show into the Smart Content pane only files to which have been assigned metadata, while for products who not provide them is necessary to seek patiently the desired files between the folders of the Content Library.

Utility of metadata

They help the search of content type, because they offer a way to find all content of the same type.For example, if we want to add a shirt to our figure in the scene, with Smart Content you can find every shirt you own in My Library folder, if of course to all these files have been correctly assigned metadata with the correct Content Type.

Show the compatibility, because they contain information about relationships between files. For example, if the shirt is loaded in the scene and we want to change the texture, just select the shirt, then move to the Presets tab on the Surfaces pane, and DAZ Studio will show only materials that work with that particular shirt.

What has been realeased on 3DDSA?

Currently were added the following metadata:

• Victoria 4.2 Base
• the Girl 4 Base
• Cindy Short Hair
• Its Dance.
